Boo and Ted are our two dogs. They are different sizes and have very different personalities.  But they are best friends. 

When my kids were little, they loved for me to make up bedtime stories. Boo and Ted made frequent appearances. Most of the stories weren’t all that great. But occasionally I’d have a decent one. I started recording my stories so we could remember the decent ones.  Overtime, we recorded about 40 stories. 

When Covid started, we were looking for a family project. We decided to find one of the better stories and write it down with my kids drawing the illustrations. We chose one of the stories about our two dogs, Boo and Ted and “Boo and Ted’s Amazing Adventures – Beach Rescue” was born. 

We emailed the book to several friends with little kids. The response we got was overwhelmingly positive, so we decided to publish it on Amazon. 

We found illustrator Holly Withers on Reedsy.com. We loved her fun and whimsical drawings. Luckily, Holly agreed to illustrate all three books.

I want my readers to have fun with my books - fun listening to it, fun reading it, and fun looking at it.  I try to use plenty of dialogue and lots of onomatopoeias -words that resemble sounds.  In addition to the fun, I try to include a lesson or message that hopefully resonates with the readers.
